The Salt Lake City Chartered Accountants Association was formed on the 17^th day of September, 1985 under the Societies Registration Act of 1961 in West Bengal having its Registered office at BF – 97, Sector – I, Salt Lake City, Kolkata – 700064.

The main objects of the Association were to organise Seminars, Conferences, Symposia, Debates, Study Circles, Workshops, Re-orientation Camps etc. of the members including Social & Cultural Activities, like Annual Picnic, Bijoya-Diwali get together etc.

The membership of the Association has grown considerably with the membership strength increasing manifold over the last 30 years.

The Study Circle of the Association Shorted functioning from 1^st January, 1999 and on an average holds 5 full day CPE Seminars every Calendar year apart from the 2 day Mega Annual Conference in the month of December, Since 2007.
